The letters EFT stand for Emotional Freedom Techniques. It's a therapy that can quickly and easily ease physical pain, emotional and mental distress. The therapy is based on the ancient principles underlying acupuncture but EFT does not require the use of needles. Instead, we tap well established meridian points on the body with our fingers whilst using skilful wordplay to resolve aspects of the issue being treated.

How is it applied?
The process involves each person gently tapping on specific points on their own body. At the same time I lead the group through creative word play to help focus on aspects of their problem. The approach is gentle and aimed at neutralizing the distressing memory or issue without needing to re-experience it. For physical conditions we safely bring down the intensity of any pain or release restrictions in the body’s movement. The result is usually an amazing physical and emotional release that leaves the individual free to enjoy life more fully than before.
How to do simple form EFT
The Setup – fill in the blank to suit the situation (anger, pain, fear)
‘’Even though I have this ………. I love and accept myself.
Repeat the following words 3 times whilst tapping at the karate Chop point (At the base of both little fingers)
The sequence –Tap the following points 3-5 times while saying the remainder statement ‘’This anger at my boss’’ ‘’, This fear of frogs’’ ‘’This pain in my knee’’ ). Do a couple of rounds and then see how the negative feeling has reduced. Do more setups and sequences together until the aspect you’ve been working on has come down to zero.
